Two buses (51 seats and 59 seats) have been booked with Creigiau Travel for the tour to Butlins Bognor Regis. Both buses will leave in the morning (pick-up time tbc) on Friday 1 May from Rumney Conservative Club. The larger bus will remain in Bognor over the weekend to take some teams to 11-a-side pitches approx 2 miles away. (The festival organisers have yet to decide which age groups will play at this venue.) The 51 seater bus will return to Bognor on Monday 4 May. Both buses will depart Butlins at around 10:30 on Monday.

The cost of the 2 buses is around £3000 - considerably higher than last year's trip to Minehead. As you will appreciate, this represents a significant financial outlay. Consequently, the Club asks that all adults wishing to go by bus contribute £10 each towards the cost.

For those that would like to travel by bus:

• Please let your coach know as soon as possible and indicate the names of those that will be travelling
  
• Give your coach £10 per adult in your party

The 110 seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Just a reminder, that the final payment to Butlins for the Festival of Football at Bognor Regis is due by 6 March. Details can be found on the confirmation received when you booked online.

A number of Crusaders teams will be taking part in the Festival of Football at Butlins Bognor Regis, Friday 1 - Monday 4 May 2015. The tournament is fully subscribed, with over 180 sides taking part.

The following information was sent out this afternoon by ESF.

As you may be aware, the festival is now fully subscribed with over 180 teams registered so it’s set to be a great event. We would strongly recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible in order to secure appropriate accommodation for your families.

We have received an update today from Butlins regarding the accommodation that remains available on resort, which is listed below. If the hotel accommodation is suitable for your party, we would recommend going for this option as it will be easier for Butlins to keep your party close together and there is currently plenty of availability.

A skittles night has been arranged for Saturday 25 October at Rumney Conservative Club. This is for parents & coaches. Ideally, we will have a team (6-a-side) from each age group. The event will start at 8pm.

Coaches, please can you tell Martin Evans if you can get a side together. He needs to let Andrew (Steward at the Cons Club) know the number taking part, as Andrew has kindly offered to do a pot of curry for us.

The end of season presentation will take place Sunday 13 July at 13:30  at Rumney British Legion club. For those that can make it, there is a BBQ at the Monkstone Inn after the presentation.

Each month every Waitrose store donates £1000 between three local good causes. Shoppers at Waitrose Pontprennau can choose Cardiff Crusaders as one of the causes. At the checkout, you’ll receive a green token. Just place it in the box for Crusaders. The more tokens we get, the greater our share of the £1000!

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
For those travelling by bus:
 
Two buses have been booked with First Coach Cardiff. They will leave Rumney Conservative Club at 12:30 prompt on Friday 2 May. Estimated arrival time at Minehead, depending on traffic, is 15:00. The two buses will depart Minehead at 10:30 on Monday 5 May and return to Rumney Conservative Club. Estimated arrival time is 13:00.

The club will cover the cost of each player plus one parent/guardian to travel by coach to and from Minehead. Any additional family members who wish to travel, will need to contribute £10 per person towards the cost of the coach.

SCHOOL
Martin Evans (club Secretary) has been advised by a Council Educational Welfare Officer that children need to attend school until 11:00 on Fri 2 May. They should then receive a ‘P’ mark for the remainder of the day, indicating that they are taking part in an organised sporting event/activity. 

ACCOMMODATION

You can arrive on site at Butlins from 12.00 and use the facilities on resort. Check-in is from 13:00. Accommodation units will be available from 16.00 (15:00 for Deluxe, Gold and Blueskies). Further information can be found here.

FACILITIES AT PITCHES
As changing and toilet facilities are limited at the pitches, all teams should get changed at the holiday centre before departing to matches. Food and refreshments are available at the football pitches.
 
WRISTBANDS
Wristbands will be allocated to each member of your party booked through ESF Events at Butlins. The wristband must be worn at all times and will be required to participate in the festival, enter the entertainment venues at Butlins and to attend the presentation ceremony. 
 
PRESENTATION CEREMONY
The presentation ceremonies will take place in the Reds venue at Butlins on Sunday 4 May at the following times. Note: presentation times are subject to change.
